In-N-Out 121: Alhambra

Welcome to part five of my 208 part series, the In-N-Out tour! The Alhambra In-N-Out is the closest location with a drive-thru and indoor dining. Unfortunately, I've stopped doing the KTTO (three burgers, two fries and a shake) and I order the more modest KOOO (one of each). It's easier on my wallet and my stomach.

We're one week through round three of Caltech, and I'm still alive! Whooo!

In 'N' Out 60: Long Beach

That's right! The In 'N' Out tour is back!

This time I rode from Caltech south to one of the three Long Beach In 'N' Outs. #60.

Shown above is my route.

That was a fun ride... I left at 8:30 PM on Wednesday and came back at about 2:30 AM Thursday. The way back only took two hours, partly because I wanted to get back home and partly because I knew where I was going. I didn't even have to go through Compton!

And then yesterday I went on a short ride through Pasadena to Puebla Taco for some late night burrito action, and somebody egged me! From a moving car! I'm putting you on notice, motorists. Next time I will carry brass knuckles. I can ride thirty miles an hour on my bike, I will catch you, in your shitty little 1983 Honda Civic, and knock out all of your windows. And I will grab your video camera that you're taping your hilarity with and dropkick it. Or I might just carry eggs. Teflon coated eggs. Just a warning.

So all y'all better ride your bikes.

Mathematicians

Check this out. So you see in the New York Times an article about a young mathematician lecturing about prime numbers. At What fine university is he teaching? Why, UCLA, of course. But child prodigy Terence Tao's wife is an engineer at Caltech's JPL and he's collaborating with Caltech math and applied physics professor Emmanuel Candés.

The NYT has a nice interactive graphic showing the eight questions he answered correctly at the age of eight as a test of his abilities. I got 5 right. Can you get all 8?
